This public panel is being produced as part of the Oregon Humanities Consider This series and is cosponsored by Lewis & Clark College’s Environmental Studies Program and the Klamath River Renewal Corporation.  We are happy to feature a diverse group of panelists who will share varied experiences on the long history of use and management of water resources in the Klamath Basin, leading to recent actions including work toward dam removal. Panelists include:

Chairman Russell Attebery, Karuk Tribe
Mark Bransom, KRRC
Chairman Don Gentry, Klamath Tribes
Becky Hyde, Rancher, Yainix Ranch, and Commissioner, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife
Chairman Joe James, Yurok Tribe

Note:  As a follow up to the Klamath Basin Panel, another event, Stopping New Dams and Removing Old Ones: Klamath and Columbia Case Studies, will took place on April 13, 5:30-7:30 pm.  This event focused on the legal perspectives of dam removal issues.  A video of this event can be found here.
